The affects of the polluted air can be easily seen near traffic islands and especially near traffic lights where plants are damaged due to the polluted air emitted by cars.
Deviced monitoring and controling the air qualilty are spread in countries all over the world, including.These deviced warn us whenever the pollution level in a certain place becomes too high allowing us to reduce it and sometimes even to stop it completey.

זיהום אוויר
התחלתה של המהפכה התעשייתית לפני כ150 שנה מסמנת גם את התחלתה של התופעה הסביבתית הידועה בכינוי זיהום אוויר. מאז תחילתה של המהפכה התעשייתית גדלה באופן משמעותית השפעת הפעילות האנושית על האטמוספירה. אספקת אנרגיה לתעשייה ולמוצריה על-ידי שריפה של חומרי דלק כמו פחם, נפט וגז מלווה בפליטת גזים רעילים הנפלטים לאוויר ומזהמים אותו. תוספת זו גורמת לנזק לסביבה על כל מרכיביה כולל האדם.
בעשרים השנים האחרונות דווחו מקרים בהם אושפזו מאות בני-אדם בבתי-חולים בגלל מחלות ריאה וקשיי נשימה שנגרמו כתוצאה מזיהום אוויר
